Dispel Negative Energy Smudge

At some point, everyone is affected by negative energies and when this happens, the energies should be dispelled. Occasionally, some negative energies can be difficult to remove and standard space clearing methods don’t work as well as you’d like. If that’s the case, smudging with chicory leaves or root can be especially effective at dispelling these negative energies, regardless of the source.

  Tools & Ingredients:

• dried chicory leaves and/or root

  The Spell:

1. Put the chicory in a fire-safe dish or shell. Light it and allow it to smoulder.
2. If cleansing a small object such as a crystal, pass it through the chicory smoke for a minute or two.
3. If cleansing a large object, for example, a piece of furniture, thoroughly smudge it in a counterclockwise direction for several minutes.
4. If your entire home needs cleansing, starting at the room farthest from your front door, smudge each room to work the negative energy out of your home, starting at your front door and working in a counterclockwise direction.
